One of the greatest features of digitizing your precious memories with Southtree is our barcode tracking system. By barcoding and grouping your analog media, it not only allows us to safely and accurately digitize your memories – it also allows us to notify you at each step along the process. After all, we don’t want to keep you in the dark.
But as awesome and convenient as it may be, the barcoding process can take a little explaining to understand exactly how it works. So, let’s dive in!
First, we’ll send you a crush-proof, mail-in box to load with your old movies, photos and more – simply pick which size you need based on the amount of media you want digitized. Along with the box, you’ll also receive a barcode sheet to ensure your memories are properly tracked throughout the entire digitization process, from receiving and shipping – to everything in between.
In case you’re still scratching your head, here’s a quick breakdown of what that barcode sheet looks like:
- 2, 10, 20 or 40 prepaid barcodes depending on what Southtree box size you selected
- Additional barcodes in case you’d like to add any other last-minute analog media items to your order
- Each barcoded item can be scanned up to a dozen times to notify you where your memories are in the digitization process
All you have to do is apply one of the shipped barcodes to each item you want digitally preserved and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s that easy.
Look, we understand that your memories are irreplaceable. That’s why we do everything in our power to make the digitization process as safe and transparent for you as possible. And our barcode system helps ensure just that.
So, what are you waiting for?! Pick your box size and get to barcoding your items so you can enjoy all those awesome old memories in shiny new packaging!
