Who's ready for some cute DIY Fall decorations?

With the weather cooling down, it's time to bust out those dusty old bins sitting in your attic. Decorating your home not only welcomes the colder weather, but it sets a more comfortable, snuggly tone in your home.

So, where to begin with decorating your house? Let's get started!

Leaf Garland

This DIY is easy. peasy! This will looks great as a table runner, over your fire mantle, strung across the door way or laid on the back of the kitchen counter:

Here's what you'll need:

  • Fake leaves (or real!)
  • White or clear glue
  • Paint brush
  • Glitter (bronze, silver, gold)
  • Twine
  • Hot glue gun
  • Cardboard

Steps:

  1. Take your cardboard and lay it down flat. This will be the surface you create the leaves on (outside or inside, the cardboard should catch excess glitter.
  2. Lay down each leaf and gently paint a coat of paint over each.
  3. Next, take the glitter and sprinkle over sticky leaves. Wait until dry, flip leaves over and repeat glue and glitter.
  4. Once dried, cut a long piece of twine and pre-heat your hot glue gun
  5. Take each leaf and add a small amount of glue to the back. Place leaf on twine and press together. **Warning: Don't burn yourself!**
  6. Repeat until twine is full of leaves. Once dried / cooled, take your garland and place it wherever your heart desires.

Picture Coasters

With cold weather, comes warm drinks! You'll need a cute coaster to set your hot apple cider, tea or hot cocoa down! Why not make the coaster just a tad more amazing by adding some of your favorite pictures.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 4x4 ceramic tiles (can find at local hardware store)
  • 4x4 printed photos (your favorite memories!)
  • Mod Podge
  • Small, 1 inch foam brush
  • Self-adhesive felt pads

Steps

  1. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the front of each tile, painting it on with foam brush. **Make sure to spread it all the way to the edges of the tile**
  2. Place the photo on the wet Mod Podge. Let it dry for 5 minutes
  3. Apply 3 coats of mod Podge to the front of tile. Let dry
  4. Stick felt pads to the bottom of each coaster
  5. Let your coaster sit for 3 days - this will help it seal completely to make sure not water or liquid drink will seep in.

Perfect and easy.

Pumpkins Galore

You can't go wrong with pumpkin decorating. No steps, no extra items needed, just some awesome pumpkins. Here are some great pumpkin ides:

  1. Place little pumpkins across your table for a runner
  2. Stack pumpkins by your front door
  3. Place pumpkins miscleaneously throughout the house
  4. Um, who wouldn't love to see a pumpkin in the bathroom?
  5. Your fireplace mantle is perfect for holding little pumpkins
  6. Stair steps? Well, each step now has a little pumpkin
  7. Put pumpkins on your bookshelves as if a book holder
  8. Place a big ole pumpking in front of a door for a door stopper

  • Tall candles
  • Tall glass jar or vase (make sure candle can fit inside
  • Popcorn kernels
  • Candy corn
  • Ribbon

  1. Take the candle and place inside the glass container.
  2. Take candy corn or kernels and fill the surrounding space of the candle.
  3. Tie ribbon around car
