Love is in the air! It’s that beautiful time of year when new romances are budding and old ones are reviving. It’s the time for girlfriends to go out and celebrate together and for yummy chocolates and snuggly teddy bears.

It’s almost Valentine’s day!
Valentine’s day is just a few short days away, and there’s no better way to celebrate than to spice up our home and work environments with a little handmade holiday decor. Whether you’re single, in a relationship, or it’s complicated, we’ve got a couple of the best DIY Valentine’s decorations for you to try out this week to fill your home or office space with love.

DIY Felt Heart Banner

This banner is really heartfelt! (Get it?)

Supplies needed:

  • Twine
  • Pink, Grey, and white felt
  • Scissors

For this super simple craft, the first step is to cut out hearts of various sizes from the felt. It can help to use a template to trace so that all your hearts are equal. Make some hearts tiny, some medium-sized, and some bigger.

Next, cut a small hole out of the top of each heart. Tie twine pieces of different lengths to each heart.

Cut out a long strip of twine to whatever length you want your banner to be. Then, tie each heart to the banner.

DIY Valentine’s Day Tree

You’ve heard of a Christmas tree, but have you heard of a Valentine’s tree? Well, this little desktop tree will surely brighten up your days and have you excited for the day of love.

Supplies needed:

  • Small vase, preferably slim and tall.
  • Twigs from outside
  • Foam hearts from the craft store
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

The first thing you’ll need to do is find all your branches and place them into your vase. Move them around and cut them down until you like the way they sit together.

Next, take the branches out and hot glue each foam heart you have onto the branches. Make sure you let the glue dry well before putting the twigs back into the vase.

DIY Paper Roses

These roses are to die for, but they’ll never die!

Supplies needed:

  • 4x4 squares of red construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

First, draw spirals on each 4x4 square you have. Then cut along the lines you’ve drawn.

Next, roll the spiral from the outside in at an angle to create a rose shape.

Finally, glue the ends and centers of the roses using the hot glue gun so that they won’t unroll.

These are some of the easiest Valentine’s DIYs imaginable, but they’ll have your guests and coworkers wondering how you got such clever ideas for decorations. Try some of these out this Valentine’s Day! They are sure to fill your day with lots of fun and love.
