Using my Digital Download

By Katy Sommerfeld

At Southtree, we offer digitization of all kinds of analog media. From photos to tapes to film reels to audio cassettes and more, we can digitize almost anything you throw our way!

We digitize thousands and thousands of orders every year, and we get lots of questions about the digitization process, shipment and payment, and more. One of the most common questions we get is about the digital download option we offer for our digitization packages.

The digital download is one of the fastest and easiest ways to access your freshly digitized media. Instead of downloading the images, video or audio footage from a DVD or thumb drive, you can automatically access your favorite memories online.

Here’s how you can access your digital download after sending your originals to Southtree:

  1. Go to www.southtree.com
  2. Click on “My Orders” near the top right of the webpage
  3. Type in your order number and your email address into the text boxes
  4. Locate your digital files, agree to the terms and conditions, and hit accept!
  5. Click the link to the downloaded files
  6. Double click on each file to view your photos and videos
  7. To save the files to your computer, right-click each thumbnail
  8. Find “Download” in the drop-down menu and click it. Then, hit “download anyway.”
  9. Your files will begin downloading and once they are finished, you can access them on your computer!

And that’s all there is to it, folks. The digital download option for receiving your newly digitized memories is a wonderful choice that allows you to quickly save files to your computer for easy sharing with your friends and family. Now that you know how to access and download these files, go ahead and watch them and pass them along to your loved ones. You’ll never have to worry about the lifespan of your film reels or photographs ever again - congratulations on making the smart choice to get your analog media digitized!
